#Barathon 3/7 Deadly Sins: Lust

She saw him as her life
He already had a wife
She wanted to wake up beside him every morning
He wanted to sleep with her every night
She lost, he won
Somewhere between heaven and hell, love cried and lust mocked

  1. I am no fan of adulterers and marriage breakers so I am happy that lust was only mocking her.....

    1. I wonder what the wife of this man would feel when she comes to know about this illicit affair.

  2. I loved the lines "she wanted to wake up..and he wanted to sleep" very nicely those two lines expressed how their goals were different. Beautiful poem and great use of the prompt.

    1. I feel sad for her and I wish to kill that man..
But, that is someone's life isn't it?

  4. awww... sadly, still a very common scenario, isn't it? I have friends who have been on both sides of this equation and love always loses. It is invariably a fling for the married person.

  6. a serious situation put across so succinctly in verse. she hankered for love while he lusted only for her body. Didn't she know the fact that he was already married?

  7. Amazing take on the deadly sin 'Lust' . It is so potent, that people forget the pain it will bring later.

  8. You did that beautifully - the two sides of the story. Sad though, that love lost.

  10. Exact portrayal of an affair. Very difficult for all involved, but they can't let go either. Your best so far in this series:)
